Just before falling asleep or while meditating I see glimpses of paintings. These sights don’t leave me alone so I try to remember what I saw and capture it on canvas with acrylic paints. Nature also inspires me all year round. When I paint, I feel something I don’t otherwise feel. It’s magical and also very calming. Art has come into my life by surprise and claiming its’ space, it doesn’t leave me alone.
My home studio is located in Lapland, Finland.

Flowers fascinate me in every way, and from my travels I often remember what kind of flowers in the destination grew and what they smelled like. Frangipani stole my heart in Asia, especially its scent, as well as the hyacinth I could sniff for days long. For many, that scent is reminiscent of Christmas. Also for me, of course, but also the wonderful flower arrangements in Geneva, which I ordered for the private plane I used to work as a corporate flight attendant.
Because of their shape, I am fascinated by e.g. peonies, inca lilies, hydrangeas, thistle flowers and noble lilies. So this is why you see so many flowers in my work. I like to describe them in different ways, from modest and pale to the full explosion of colors.
I also do custom work. Welcome to my garden!

Flowers
Most of the time, it is the floral works that flash through my mind before sleep or during meditation

Abstract and misc.
The inspiration for the abstract paintings is found in northern nature and the magnificent shades of the sky.

Poppies
These flowers, somewhat reminiscent of poppies, began to form first on paper and then on canvas as I allowed the brush to live its own life.
